Pietro Pellegri is a striker for AS Monaco. In 2017, whilst playing for Genoa, Pellegri became the first 16-year old to score 2 goals in a major European league game in a 3-2 loss to Lazio and also became the joint youngest player to start a Serie A game and the third youngest goal scorer. Pellegri's performances for Genoa impressed Monaco who signed Pellegri in Januray 2018 for a reported fee of 25 Million Euros, the second largest fee ever paid for a 16 year old. Pellegri has since struggled with injuries and only featured in 3 games scoring once in the 2018-2019 season. Pellegri broke the record for youngest player to start a league game for Monaco, which was previously held by none other, than Kylian Mbappe and is the first player born in the 21st century, to score in Ligue 1.
