Player Review
Steven Bergwijn is a winger for Tottenham Hotspur. Bergwijn played his first full season for PSV in the Eredivisie at the age of 19 and over the last 3 seasons he has continued to develop and improve. Having scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists in just 16 games, Tottenham Hotspur decided to sign Berwijn during the January 2020 transfer window. Bergwijn was signed for £26.7 million, but due to injuries he only played 14 games for Tottenham during the 2019-2020 season. Bergwijn has been performing well in pre-season and could hit high PB scores occassionally in the future if he can contribute to goals as frequently as he did for PSV. Bergwijn has rapid acceleration and combines his pace with strong ball control to dribble past opponents often, attempting 3 dribbles per 90 with a 57.5% success rate. Bergwijn will often cut inside and create chances with intelligent passes in the final third, averaging a high 1.87 key passes per 90. However, he only attempts 0.97 crosses per 90 and so he does not particularly suit the PB matrix. Overall, Bergwijn could have a chance of occassionally earning matchday and media dividends in the future, but he will need to cross more frequently to have a chance of earning matchday dividends fairly regularly.

Price Analysis
Steven Bergwijn's price started the 2019-2020 season at £1.33. Bergwijn's price rose to a peak of £2.34 in February 2020 after scoring an exceptional debut goal against Manchester City. Since then, Bergwijn's price has dropped and he currently has a market price of £1.83 with an instant sell price of £1.47. Bergwijn's price could rise in the short term if he can make a strong start to the Premier League season. As a young, exciting player with a lot of potential playing for a strong Premier League side, Bergwijn could gain the attention from many traders especially during Football Index's huge marketing campaign. However, he may not be particularly strong at earning dividends due to his lack of suitability to the PB matrix. Overall, Bergwijn has a bright future and could be a strong longer term hold, especially if bought within his wide spread given his potential to improve in the Premier League and also feature at EURO 2021 and the 2022 World Cup with Netherlands.
