Player Review
Sofiane Diop is an attacking midfielder or winger for Monaco. Diop was sent on loan to FC Sochaux during the 2019-2020 season, but he only played a total of 780 minutes and only contributed with two goals. However, Diop is still very young and has started the 2020-2021 season strongly for Monaco under new manager - Niko Kovac. Diop has good vision and will often attempt to look up to find the best option when in possession with the ability to either pass the ball short or spread the ball with a long pass. Diop is also intelligent at anticipating the movement of forwards on his team and will occassionally attempt a through ball to split the opponent's defence. Diop also has the ability to take corners and overall Diop's technique appears fairly strong as he has good ball control and his distribution is strong. Off the ball, Diop is very strong at pressing, which is partly why he may be favoured by Niko Kovac, and he is able to occassionally make useful tackles. However, Diop could improve further by gaining more confidence when on the ball and using his ball control to his advantage more often by attempting more dribbles and also shooting more frequently. Overall, Diop has a lot of potential and given his ability on corners - he could suit the PB matrix well once he starts to gain more regular game time in the future.

Price Analysis
Sofiane Diop's price started the 2019-2020 season at £0.75. Due to a lack of game time and lack of goal contributions, Diop's price dropped to £0.67 and remained relatively stagnant throughout the 2019-2020 season. Diop's price has recently increased to a market price of £0.83 recently due to gaining more game time under Niko Kovac. Diop has also benefited from Golovin's recent injury and as he has performed well when he has been given the opportunity, it appears likely that he will gain more regular game time for Monaco this season. Diop still has a relatively low price for a young, attacking midfielder at a strong side and his potential to rise in price if he can hit high PB scores in the future is very high. Once order books are introduced, his price could slightly drop but due to the current interest in him as he has been playing lately, his price may well rise if he can perform well in the upcoming weeks for Monaco. Longer term, Diop appears a strong hold at his current market.
