Player Review
Ryan Gravenberch is a central midfielder for Ajax. During the 2019-2020 season, Gravenberch was a stand-out player in the second tier of the Netherlands with 6 goals and 4 assists in 17 games from central midfield and so was promoted to Ajax's first team. Gravenberch also performed well in the Eredivisie, showing a lot of potential. Gravenberch is a very versatile player who can play at right back, as a defensive midfielder, a central midfielder or as an attacking midfielder. Gravenberch is particularly strong at passing, dribbling and interceptions. Whilst playing for Ajax, Gravenberch averaged a very high 3.67 dribbles with a 67% success rate, averaged 40 passes and completed a very high 4 interceptions per game. Gravenberch reads the game well and has excellent ball control and technique making a range of intelligent passes both short and long from midfield. Gravenberch will often feint before shooting and he is a good finisher with a total of 9 goals in 29 games from midfield last season. Overall, Gravenberch possesses many of the qualities that could make for a strong PB palyer in the future. However, in the short term Gravenberch will struggle to earn dividends due to playing in a Non-PB league.

Price Analysis
Ryan Gravenberch's price started 2019-2020 season at £1.33. Gravenberch's price has increased throughout the 2019-2020 season due to breaking into Ajax's first team and the speculation that he could move to a PB league in the future. Gravenberch now sits at a market price of £2.29 with an instant sell price of £1.93. Gravenberch could suit the PB matrix fairly well and he is undoubtedly an extremely impressive talent at such a young age, but he is still very unproven and there are more proven young talents playing in PB leagues at lower prices. Longer term Gravenberch may end up being a strong hold as he has a high ceiling given his style of play and the comparisons that have been made between his style of play and Paul Pogba's. However, in the short term he will struggle to earn dividends and he is arguably a risky hold given his lack of game time and the possibility that he remains in a Non-PB league.
