Player Review

Ruben Dias is a center back for Benfica. Dias has been a stand out center back in The Primeira Liga over the last two seasons. Dias is very strong at passing averaging 64 passes per game in the Portuguese top flight. Dias is strong at tackling and also heading both defensively and in attack. Dias' passing quality could lead to him hitting very high PB averages if he was to sign for a PB league and with his strong heading ability in attack, he could occassionally compete for match day dividends if he was to score from time to time. However, overall, as a center back - Dias is unlikely to hit the PB scores needed to earn match day dividends often even if he was to sign for a strong PB league side. Whilst at Benfica, Dias' chances of earning dividends are very slim, but over summer he could have a chance of earning media dividends depending on the transfer links that emerge.

Price Analysis

Ruben Dias' price started the season at £0.90 and has fluctuated in price depending on market trends. For example Dias' price rose during the Champions League market trend in October as well as during the various trends towards transfer targets which have occurred throughout the season. Dias' price has currently settled at £1.22. Dias' spread is relatively small suggesting there is demand for Dias and this is most likely due to the possibility of transfer links emerging over the upcoming months. Dias has been linked to strong Premier League sides such as Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Dias is likely to rise in price if a transfer to a Premier League team does go ahead, but given his low price ceiling as a center back and the fact his price is already built up upon the anticipation of a transfer to a strong PB league, he may not be such a strong hold. If Dias does not sign for a Premier League side this summer by either signing for a team in a different league or staying at Benfica, his price is likely to remain stagnant or drop.
