Player Review
Paolo Ghiglione is a right back for Genoa. Ghiglione crosses often, averaging 5.96 crosses per 90, but only 22.8% of his crosses met a Genoa player last season. Nevertheless, by crossing so frequently he was able to provide an impressive 5 assists during the 2019-2020 season. 3 of these assists came from particularly good crosses that were whipped into dangerous areas and were easily met by attackers who were able to convert. Ghiglione's other 2 assists came from moments of brilliance from Kouame and Pinamonti, but in both cases Ghiglione's delivery was of course very effective. Making just 0.41 interceptions per 90, Ghiglione could certainly improve his defensive awareness. Ghighlione's peak PB scores were very low during the 2019-2020 season, but this may be partly due to playing for a very weak Serie A side. Overall, Ghighlione's desire to cross could lead to occassional high PB scores in the future and in a more offensive side, it is likely his PB scores would improve considerably.

Price Analysis
Paolo Ghighlione's price started the season at just £0.23. Due to providing plenty of assists in the first half of the season, Ghighlione increased to a peak price of £0.71 by January. Since then, Ghighlione has struggled to play full 90 minute games regularly and his price has consequently fallen to a current market price of £0.60. Ghighlione has a particularly wide spread with a current instant sell price of £0.36. If Genoa have another poor season, Ghighlione is unlikely to hit the PB scores needed to earn matchday dividends because his best attributes are offensive and Genoa are likely to be forced to defend often. However, longer term Ghighlione could possibly be a strong hold if he can find his way into a stronger Serie A side. Ghighlione has gained very tenuous transfer links to both AC Milan and Lazio and he is out of contract in 2021 and so a transfer could be possible. Overall, Ghighlione currently appears to have a fairly high market price given his low PB scores, but given his potential, he could be a strong longer term hold if bought within his wide spread.
