Player Review
Oscar Rodriguez is an attacking midfielder for Real Madrid. Rodriguez had a very strong season for Leganes, on loan from Real Madrid, scoring 9 goals. Rodriguez is particularly strong at shooting, averaging 2.1 shots per game and he has scored a number of very impressive, long-range efforts this season. Rodriguez uses the knuckleball technique to put a lot of pace and dip on the ball and has demonstrated his ability on a number of occassions to score free-kicks using this technique. Rodriguez only averages 24 passes per game, but this may be due to playing for Leganes who only average 45.4% possession. At a strong side, it is likely Rodriguez would have more time on the ball and hit higher PB scores.
Rodriguez improved considerably throughout the season. This is evident in how between the start of the season and the end of 2019, his PB average was only 59. However, between 2020 and the end of the season, his PB average increased to 99. Overall, Rodriguez has the potential to score frequently and improve his PB scores further at a stronger side in the future and so could compete for match day dividends on a number of occassions throughout a given season.

Price Analysis
Oscar Rodriguez's price started the season at just £0.67. Rodriguez's price had fluctuated up and down until December and since then his price has fairly consistently grown. Rodriguez's performances have improved throughout the season and he increased considerably towards the end of the La Liga season. Real Madrid have Asensio, Isco, Odegaard, Kubo and Reinier to choose from to play in the attacking midfield position next season and so it is likely Rodriguez will be sold this summer. Villareal are reportedly interested in signing Rodriguez to replace Santi Cazorla and this could be a great move for Rodriguez as he would benefit from playing for a stronger side and from playing in Europe. Overall, Rodriguez appears a strong hold at his current price given his quality and potential to improve further at a stronger side next season.
