Player Review

Nice Elvedi is a center back for Borussia Monchengladbach. Elvedi is very comfortable on the ball and completes a high average of 57 passes per 90. Last season, Elvedi attempted over 100 passes in a number of games and so was able to hit several PB scores over 200. However, Elvedi has failed to hit a PB score over just 150 since January 2020. Whilst Elvedi was in particularly strong form towards the start of last season, he was linked to a number of very strong sides including Arsenal and Manchester City. Elvedi has not gained any transfer links since. Defensively, Elvedi is strong at reading the game making a high 2.26 interceptions per 90 and making 1.78 tackles per 90. Elvedi is not a particularly physcial player and only makes 0.66 fouls per 90. Overall, Elvedi is unlikely to earn match day dividends often due to his low attacking threat, but as he proved when he hit a 264 in a 1-0 win last season - he can occassionally hit high peak PB scores.

Price Analysis

Nico Elvedi's price started the 2019-2020 season at £1.04 and quickly rose to £1.41 due to strong performances and high PB scores. Since EURO 2020 was postponed, transfer links faded and Elvedi's PB scores declined, Elvedi's price dropped considerably. Elvedi currently has a market price of £0.61 with an instant sell price of £0.40. Elvedi is unlikely to earn match day dividends often and so his price may well remain fairly stagnant until he can hit higher PB scores. Nevertheless, Elvedi has shown his quality over the last few seasons and at £0.40 he does appear a fairly valuable hold given his prospects for earning match day dividends. Overall, Elvedi could be a strong longer term hold if bought at his instant sell price and he may benefit from an increase in exposure by playing at the upcoming EURO's.
