Player Review

Moussa Djenepo is a winger for Southampton. Djenepo made a great start to life in the Premier League with two very impressive goals, one against Brighton and the other against Sheffield United. However, he has struggled with injuries and despite featuring in a total of 18 games, he only played 3 full 90 minute games. Djenepo is particularly strong at dribbling, averaging a very high 6.38 dribbles per 90 with a high 66.7% success rate. However, Djenepo will need to improve his crossing further as he only successfully completed 19% of the 2 crosses he attempted per 90. Djenepo's two highest PB scores came in the two games where he scored spectacular goals, but it is worth pointing out that he only played 37 minutes against Brighton and 74 minutes against Sheffield United. Overall, Djenepo's quality dribbling ability and shot frequency (1.93 shots per 90) could lead to the occassional high peak PB score. However, he will need to improve his crossing further and he may struggle to hit high PB scores regularly due to playing for Southampton.

Price Analysis

Moussa Djenepo's price started the season at £0.92. After making a strong start in the Premier League, Djenepo quickly rose up to £1.47 by 1st October. Since then, Djenepo's price has fluctuated based on speculation that he will perform well with more game time. However, he failed to play in any of Southampton's last 9 games and since the introduction of the Matching Engine, his price has dropped and his spread has widened. Djenepo currently has a market price of £1.31 with an instant sell price of £0.90. Djenepo is still fairly unproven in the Premier League and so his market price of £1.31 could be deemed as relatively high in comparison to other more proven, young players. However, Djenepo's potential is very high and he has already set a personal goal of becoming as good as Sadio Mane. Overall, Djenepo could be a strong longer term hold, especially if bought via a matched bid at a considerable discount on his current market price.
