Player Review

Luis Alberto is a central midfielder for Lazio. Alberto has consistently scored and assisted frequently in Serie A over the last three seasons and helped take Lazio to securing a Champions League place by scoring 6 goals and providing 15 assists last season. Alberto is very creative in attack and can use his excellent ball control to dribble past opponents and create space. Alberto successfully completed a very high 68% of his 3 attempted dribbles per 90 last season and he also provided an exceptionally high 3 key passes per 90. Alberto often takes set-pieces and so attempts a high 5 crosses per 90 with a 26.3% success rate. Furthermore, Alberto's base PB scores a particularly high because in addition to taking set-pieces, he completes a particularly high 58 passes per 90. Overall, Alberto is very well suited to the PB matrix and proved this by hitting 9 PB scores over 200 last season, earning £0.33 in matchday dividends. With the introduction of team of the month dividends, the increased dividend payouts and the reasonably strong chance that Lazio will have a better European campaign this season - Alberto looks set to considerably improve his dividend return in the upcoming season. Longer term, a change to the PB matrix could reduce Alberto's chances of hitting high PB scores and subsequently reduce his chance of earning dividends.

Price Analysis

Luis Alberto's price started the 2019-2020 season at £1.13. Due to suiting the new PB matrix particularly well and performing well at the start of the season, Alberto was sucked into the very strong trend towards high PB scoring players and rose to a peak price of £3.27 by November 2019. Since then, Alberto's price has declined and he currently has a market price of £2.47 with an instant sell price of £2.34. Alberto's tight spread shows the current strong demand for him ahead of Lazio's upcoming games. Alberto benefits massively from the recent dividend increase and also from the introduction of order books because he fairly consistently hits high PB scores which is likely to lead to him being in high demand for a large part of the upcming season. Overall, Alberto appears strong value at his current price for the upcoming season given his chances of earning a considerable amount of his price in dividends. In the short term, Alberto could also benefit from the current 5X IPD promotion as Lazio still have 2 fixtures remaining during this promotion.
