Player Review

Lautaro Martinez is a center forward for Inter Milan. Martinez' attacking awareness and runs off the ball are very strong which results in him getting into goal scoring positions often and he averages a very high 4.4 shots per 90. Martinez is also a clinical finisher and has scored 23 goals this season. Alongside, Martinez' ability to score often, he is very fast, strong and good at running with the ball at his feet, averaging 2.9 dribbles per 90. Martinez' style of play is not particularly well suited to the PB matrix as he will often position himself in the opposition box and generally does not have so many touches, avearging just 10.4 passes per game. If Martinez was to move to Barcelona, he would possibly have more possession. Overall, Martinez is a very strong, young talent likely to score plenty of goals in a given season. However, he is unlikely to hit high peak PB scores often and even having scored 3 braces this season, his highest peak PB score is just 204. Martinez could earn media dividends due to a possible summer transfer and at another side, his PB scores may also improve further.

Price Analysis

Lautaro Martinez' price started the season at just £1.33. Martinez' price has gradually rose throughout the season due to frequently scoring and the persistent transfer links he has gained from very strong European sides. Barcelona are reportedly interested in Martinez as a long term replacement for Luis Suarez. However, Inter Milan are reportedly still confident in keeping Martinez. A transfer saga this summer could result in Martinez earning media dividends. Martinez' price is already built up on the speculation of a transfer and has remained fairly stagnant in recent months. Martinez has a wide spread with an instant sell price of £3.20 suggesting a lack of current demand for him. Overall, although Martinez may be a strong longer term hold given his goal-scoring ability, he does not appear to suit the PB matrix very well and as he is unlikely to earn match day dividends often and his price is already built up on a transfer - he may not be such a strong hold in the short term at his current price.
