Player Review

Karl Toko Ekambi is a center forward for Lyon. Ekambi has a strong record at contributing towards goals and as he failed to score in recent Champions League games, it is likely that he will be determined to score in upcoming Ligue 1 games. Ekambi averages a very high 3.11 shots per 90 and although he only hits 46.4% on target, he could occassionally score braces/hat-tricks when he is able to take his chances as his attacking positioning is so strong. Ekambi is also strong at dribbling with a fairly high 60% success rate on his 2.58 dribbles attempted per 90. Ekambi's PB scores were not particularly high during the 2019-2020 season and one of the main reasons is that he is often brought off in the second half of games. Ekambi may fail to play 90 minutes regularly and therefore may struggle to earn matchday dividends, but he could be a strong hold for earning In-Play Dividends.

Price Analysis

Karl Toko Ekambi's price started the 2019-2020 season at £0.48. Ekambi's price hit a peak of £1.07 not long after his move to Lyon, but his price dropped once Ligue 1's cancellation was confirmed. Ekambi's spread has recently widened due to Lyon's Champions League exit and this could create an opportunity to buy Ekambi at a valuable price. Ekambi may not be particularly strong value at his current market price of £0.87, but his spread may tighten in the upcoming weeks and so he could be strong value if bought closer to his instant sell price of £0.57. Lyon have particularly favourable upcoming fixtures and Ekambi is a player that could benefit from the 5X IPD promotion. Overall, Ekambi may not be a particularly strong long term hold or even very valuable at his current market price, but his spread could tighten in the upcoming weeks given his potential to earn a considerable return on his price in In-Play Dividends.
