Player Review

Harvey Elliott is a winger for Liverpool. Elliott has had a strong season for Liverpool's youth side and has also performed well when given a chance in Liverpool's first team on a number of occassions in cup competitions. Elliott has an excellent touch, strong ball control and has great vision. Elliott will often use his dribbling ability and agility to create space and find intelligent passes which can break down the opponent's defence. Elliott is not the quickest or the most physcially strong player yet, but he knows how to use his body to keep hold of the ball and he has the underlying player characteristics to become a very strong player in the future. Elliott could suit the PB matrix well in the future, but he is unlikely to compete for match day dividends in the short term due to being so young and rarely playing for the first team. Elliott is still very young and has a lot of room for development over the upcoming seasons, but having signed his first professional contract with Liverpool on 6th July, he is certainly in the right set up to continue developing. Elliott could possibly earn media dividends if he was to perform well when given game time by Liverpool due to him being a young, English player at a very strong side. Elliott is also an England Youth International.

Price Analysis

Harvey Elliott's price IPO'd at £1.20 on 11/11/2019. Due to performing very well for Liverpool's youth side and when he has been offered a chance with the first team, Elliott's price has risen considerably this season and currently sits at £3.78 with an instant sell price of £3.21. Elliott is behind Curtis Jones in his development as he is still much younger and so Elliott may fail to gain much game time with the first team. Elliott is still very unproven and at his current high price, he is arguably a very risky hold. In the short term, due to the removal of instant sell, Elliott's price may not increase in price as unproven, higher priced players may now struggle until they prove themselves in the first team. Longer term, Elliott has the player characteristics to become a very high quality player that could both earn matchday and media dividends. However, if he does not develop as well as expected, his price is likely to drop considerably.
