Player Review
Gerard Moreno is a center forward or winger for Villareal. Moreno had an exceptionally strong 2019-2020 season with a total of 18 La Liga goals, earning himself a call up to the Spain national squad where he scored 3 goals in 3 games. Moreno suits the PB matrix fairly well as he both shoots and attempts to cross often. Moreno averages 2.9 shots and 2 attempted crosses per 90, but he could improve his accuracy with only 39.3% of his shots hitting the target and only 18.3% crosses meeting a teammate. Nevertheless, when Moreno's end-product is strong, he is able to score and assist multiple times within just one game which helped him hit 3 PB scores over 200 last season. However, these PB scores were against Leganes, Malta and Romania. Villareal have strenghtened over summer and the arrivals of Kubo and Parejo should lead to further creativity from midfield which could lead to Moreno scoring even more frequently in the upcoming La Liga season. Overall, Moreno could be particularly strong at earning In-Play Dividends and given his potential to score or assist multiple times in a single game, he could hit high peak PB scores occassionally throughout the season leading to him earning matchday dividends.

Price Analysis
Gerard Moreno's price rocketed from £0.44 at the start of the 2019-2020 season up to a peak price of £1.60 by late November due to hitting high PB scores whilst the strong trend towards high PB scoring players was under way. However, since then he has failed to hit any PB scores over 200 and so his price has dropped and currently sits at a market price of £1.18 with an instant sell price of £1.15. Moreno's tight spread shows how there is currently a lot of demand for Moreno and he does appear a fairly valuable hold following the recent dividend increase. Playing in Europe with Villareal and with better midfielders, Moreno could earn more in matchday dividends next season and so in the short term he may be a strong hold. Futhermore, Moreno could rise further in price if he can break into the Spain national squad for EURO 2021. However, if Moreno fails to hit high PB scores or fails to score regularly during the 2020-2021 season, it is likely that his spread will widen due to his price being built up on his potential to earn matchday dividends and In-Play Dividends in the short term.
