Player Review

Ezri Konsa is center back for Aston Villa. Konsa joined Aston Villa from Brentford for £13.3 million in July 2019 and played a total of 25 Premier League games throughout the 2019-2020 season. Konsa improved throughout the season and was particularly impressive following the restart after the Covid-19 break. Konsa does not suit the PB matrix particularly well as Aston Villa only have 45.7% possession and Konsa only completes 34 passes per 90 which is fairly low for a center back. Konsa did score an impressive goal against Everton, but he is unlikely to score often. With a peak PB score of 145, Konsa appears very unlikely to earn matchday dividends often. However, as a young, English center back improving in the Premier League, there is an outside chance that England national team speculation could develop leading to media dividends in the future.

Price Analysis

Ezri Konsa's price started the season at £0.73. As it became clear that Konsa was unlikely to earn matchday dividends, Konsa's price dropped to £0.51 by November and has remained relatively stagnant ever since. Currently sitting at £0.50, Konsa's market price has not moved between March and August. Konsa currently has an instant sell price of £0.23 and given his potential to continue to improve, he could be a strong hold if bought within his wide spread. Overall, Konsa is unlikely to earn dividends in the short term and so his price is likely to remain relatively stagnant. If Konsa does not improve, then he will remain a relatively worthless share given his extremely low chance of earning dividends whilst playing at his current standard within a weak Premier League side. However, his spread could tighten throughout the 2020-2021 season because he does have a lot of potential to improve further. Longer term, Konsa could possibly gain a transfer or a call-up to the England national team which would lead to an increase in demand for Konsa.
