Player Review

Dani Olmo is an attacking midfielder for RB Leipzig. Olmo is a versatile player who can play on either wing, as an attacking midfielder or as a central midfielder. Olmo is particularly strong at through balls and already has 3 assists in 5 Bundesliga starts this season. When on the ball, Olmo is clever in possession and he is strong at dribbling, successfully completing 44.4% of his 3.98 attempted dribbles per 90. Olmo also likes to take shots himself, but his finishing could improve further. As Olmo tends to play very centrally, he rarely crosses and so his PB scores have not been particularly high. Olmo may well provide a number of goals and assists within a given game which could lead to him earning match day dividends, but he is unlikely to hit high PB scores often until he starts to take more set-pieces. The RB Leipzig squad is particularly competitive and Olmo has made a strong start to the season and has done well to play so much, but with two relatively poor performances in his last two games, he may struggle to keep his spot for Leipzig's next game. Olmo may also benefit from playing for Spain at both the Euro's and the World Cup.

Price Analysis

Dani Olmo's price hit a peak of £2.60 following his move to Leipzig, but has since dropped to a current price of £2.04. Olmo has an instant sell price of £1.66 and although this spread is wide, there is a fairly strong chance that Olmo's market price will drop further if he fails to play for a number of games throughout the season. Nagelsmann rotates Leipzig players very frequently and so given that Olmo has performed fairly poorly in his last two games, he may get dropped which could lead to his price also dropping. Overall, Olmo appears a fairly strong longer term hold, but due to Leipzig's squad rotation it would certainly be best to buy when Olmo is out of favour to buy at a lower price.
