Player Review

Christian Pavon is a winger for La Galaxy, on loan from Boca Juniors. Pavon has performed well in the MLS with 5 goals and 6 assists last season in 15 games and with two MLS games having been played so far this season, Pavon has one goal already. Many of Pavon's selfless assists last season set up the clinical Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but with Ibrahimovic's departure - Pavon may be more inclined to take opportunities himself. Pavon is a fast winger who is strong at dribbling, shooting and key passes. Last season Pavon averaged 2.7 dribbles per game, 2.5 shots per game and 2.4 key passes per game. Such strong creativity in attack suggests that if Pavon was to move to a PB league in the future, he could suit the PB matrix well. Overall, Pavon has almost no access to earning dividends in the short term whilst playing on loan from a Non-PB league in a Non-PB league. Pavon is also an Argentina International and depending on his next two seasons, could possibly make the Argentina 2022 World Cup squad.

Price Analysis

Christian Pavon's price started the season at £0.57 and has remained relatively stagnant throughout the season. Pavon currently has a market price of £0.54 and an instant sell price of £0.34. It is likely Pavon could be purchased at a significant discount on his market price via a matched bid. Pavon is currently on loan from Boca Juniors and reports suggest that La Galaxy are not willing to pay the £20 million to permanently purchase Pavon and so he could return to Boca Juniors. Given Pavon's quality, links to a PB league could emerge in the future. Overall, Pavon is likely to remain relatively stagnant and may even drop in price in the short term due to a lack of access to earning dividends. The direction of Pavon's price is likely to depend on if he gains transfer links in the future, but given his low price he could be a strong longer term hold in case transfer links to a PB league do emerge in the future.
