Player Review

Bukayo Saka is a left back for Arsenal. Saka has had a very strong breakthrough season for Arsenal and has been a consistent starter since being converted into an attacking left back. Saka is strong at dribbling and crossing and Saka's pace combined with excellent delivery has resulted in 4 assists in his last 8 games. Saka's attacking threat from left back has led to Saka hitting some fairly high PB scores this season and as an 18-year-old he certainly has a lot of potential to improve his match day scores further in the future too. Saka's PB scores had been particularly high in the Europa League where he averaged 2.3 key passes per game and hit two PB scores over 200. However, Saka only averages 29 passes per game and when he scored and provided 2 assists against Eintracht Frankfurt, he only hit a PB score of 202. Saka is currently listed as a forward on Football Index, but this is likely to change in the future if Saka continues to play in more of a defensive role.

Price Analysis

Bukayo Saka's price started the season at around £1.70. Following very strong performances for Arsenal in September, Saka rapidly rose up to £2.94 by the start of October. Saka's price slowly declined after this huge rise due to the attention of the market switching to high PB performing players after the dividend increase. Saka's price has increased considerably again recently and is currently at a peak price of £3.52 with the Premier League returning next month. Liverpool transfer links had also contributed towards Saka's huge rise in price with him being out of contract in 2021. However, it appears more likely that Saka will renew his contract at Arsenal. Overall, with Jadon Sancho setting such a high price ceiling for elite, young, English talents - Saka's price ceiling is very high and so long as he performs well for Arsenal, he could rise in price further. With this being said, Saka's price now looks very high and if he does not continue to develop and improve over time, his price may drop.
