Peak PB Scores
Borna Barisic is a left back for Rangers. Barisic had a very strong 2019-2020 season for Rangers providing a total of 14 assists in 40 games. Barisic often positions himself far out wide and waits to receive the ball before attempting to find a teammate in the box with a cross. Barisic will often cross first time or very early after receiving the ball out on the wing and he attempts a very high 6.7 crosses per 90. During PB eligible games, only 25% of his crosses were accurate but by crossing the ball into dangerous areas often, Barisic creates many changes and he also completes a high 2 key passes per 90. Barisic therefore suits the PB matrix very well and against weaker opposition - Barisic will stand a fair chance of earning matchday dividends. Rangers are set-up to attack with full-backs often, evident in both full-backs completing over 12 assists last season. If Barisic was to move to a side that did not attack with full-backs as frequently, it is unlikely that Barisic would hit such high PB scores. Overall, Barisic is unlikely to earn dividend often due to playing in a Non-PB league, but he will have a chance of earning matchday dividends in Europe with Rangers and also with Croatia at EURO 2021 and the 2022 World Cup.
1 Year Price Graph
Borna Barisic's price started the 2019-2020 season at just £0.22. Barisic's price quickly rose to £0.51 by November 2019 due to his strong performances in the Europa League with Rangers. In March 2020, Barisic's price reched a peak of £0.81 due to speculation that he could perform well at EURO 2020 and also gain a transfer. However, EURO 2020's cancellation led to his price declining and he currently has a market price of £0.69 with an instant sell price of £0.46. In the short term, demand may not increase for Barisic and his spread may remain wide. Once the full order book system is implemented, Barisic's market price may fall. Once the Europa League returns, demand for Barisic may increase. Longer term, Barisic could be a strong hold, especially if bought within his wide spread because he could earn dividends in the Europa League and also for Croatia in the future. Gerrard has said that Barisic will not be leaving Rangers, but he could still gain transfer links and his price may increase if he does move to a PB league.
