Peak PB Scores
Bernardo Silva is an attacking midfielder or winger for Manchester City. Silva is strong at passing, dribbling and crossing and such skills have resulted in some very high PB scores this season. 4 of Silva's top 5 PB scores have been whilst playing for Portugal, mostly against very weak opposition. However, such high PB scores do show Silva's potential to suit the PB matrix and he also showed he can hit huge PB scores on occassion for City by scoring a hat-trick against Watford resulting in a 296. Overall, Bernardo Silva has strong potential to hit high PB scores, but has failed to hit very high PB scores against strong teams. De Bruyne's dominance for City makes Bernardo Silva unlikely to regularly hit the highest PB score in the Manchester City midfield, though on occassion against weaker sides Sivla can hit exceptioanlly high PB scores.
1 Year Price Graph
Bernardo Silva's price started the season at around £2.60 and has slowly declined throughout the season to a low of £1.87 in March. De Bruyne's PB dominance and the lack of regular high PB scores for Manchester City perhaps led to such a decline. However, with the Premier League returning, Silva's price has rebounded recently. Silva could certainly hit PB scores high enough to earn match day dividends on a number of occassions throughout a given season and he could be a particularly strong hold ahead of both EURO 2021 and then the World Cup as he has shown the ability to hit high PB scores for Portugal. However, for both club (De Bruyne) and country (Fernandes) Silva is unluckily outshone by some of the highest PB scoring midfielders on the platform. As Bernardo Silva plays the majority of his games as a winger, there is a chance of his position on Football Index being changed to a forward in the future and this would likely lead to him having a better chance of earning dividends and rising in price (Though he'd be competing for PB with Sterling and Ronaldo instead). Overall, Silva is a very strong player, but the way in which many traders tend to pick the best players for a given position at a given club may hold his price back. Longer term, with the departure of David Silva and Bernardo Silva still only being 25 years old, he could be a strong hold and gradually rise with market growth given his quality.
