Player Review

Anthony Martial is a center forward for Manchester United. Martial is strong at dribbling and shooting, scoring an impressive 14 goals in 26 appearances this season. However, Martial averages just 19 passes per game resulting in a very low peak PB score of just 150. Martial has scored the Game-Winning goal 5 times this season, but due to his lack of passes, crosses and general involvement, he fails to score high on the PB matrix. With Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba creating even more chances for Martial in the future, we could see Martial score more frequently and consequently hit higher PB scores. With more goals, Martial could also potentially earn media dividends and he has already won 6p in media dividends this season.

Price Analysis

Anthony Martial started the season at around £2.80 and after a strong start in the Premier League, hit a peak price of £3.30 in August. However, as it became clearer that he did not pose a threat in terms of earning match day dividends by regularly posting low PB scores, his price has fairly consistently declined since. Sitting at a current price of £2.46, Martial's price very much reflects the fact that his PB scores are very low because as a 24 year-old forward at Manchester United with a strong goal scoring record, his price could be a lot higher if he did have higher PB scores. With better delivery coming from midfield with the addition of Bruno Fernandes and return of Paul Pogba, Martial may score more regularly and consequently hit higher PB scores. Overall, Martial's PB scores have really held him back, but if he can improve his PB scores and his performances further - the ceiling to his price is very high with a reasonably strong chance of him also picking up media dividends in the future too. Therefore, Martial could be a strong hold at his current price.
