Peak PB Scores
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is a right back for Arsenal. Maitland-Niles is a very versatile player who can play at left back, right back, center back, right midfield and center midfield. Maitland-Niles has reportedly spoke about how he would like to play in a central/attacking midfield role and Arteta has recently hinted that Maitland-Niles could still have a part to play in the Arsenal side, despite him playing very infrequently since January. Maitland-Niles is strong at dribbling and tackling, but his style of play does not particularly suit the PB matrix with just 0.4 crosses and 0.5 key passes per game. Maitland-Niles' lack of creativity in attack suggests he is unlikely to hit high peak PB scores often. However, Maitland-Niles is strong at passing, averaging a high 52 passes per game in the Premier League. Overall, Maitland-Niles appears unlikely to earn match day dividends, but a lot could change if in the future he does end up playing in central/attacking midfield (Which appears unlikely).
1 Year Price Graph
Ainsley Maitland-Niles's price started the season at £0.80. Maitland-Niles' price has declined since this start of the season and has remained at between £0.67-£0.78 throughout the season. Due to recent reports suggesting Maitland-Niles may gain more game time when the Premier League returns, Maitland-Niles has recently risen to £0.77. Maitland-Niles also suits the recent trend towards buying young, English players who could get more game time when the Premier League returns. In the short term, Maitland-Niles' price could drop if he does not receive the game time which he is reportedly going to receive once the Premier League returns. Overall, Maitland-Niles' price is relatively low for a young, English player at a strong side, but due to a lack of game time - his price is unlikely to rise unless he can nail a spot in the Arsenal side. Maitland-Niles's style of play does not suggest he will hit high PB scores and as his price is now above his season average, it may not be such a good time to buy him. Longer term, Maitland-Niles may well increase in price as he eventually gains more regular game time at Arsenal or at another side.
