Player Review

Achraf Hakimi is a wing back for Borussia Dortmund. Hakimi has been immense this season with blistering pace down the right hand side, providing many accurate crosses and also chipping in with many goals and assists from defence. Despite predominantly being a right wing back, he is currently listed as a midfielder on Football Index as he has played a few games in right midfield. Hakimi is one of the most attacking defenders on the platform and out of all defenders on Football Index, Hakimi comes 2nd this season for most shots on target and 1st for most successful dribbles. Hakimi's quality has also been reflected in many high PB scores this season and he has both a high PB average and high peak PB score. Overall, Hakimi is already one of the best wing backs in the world and is likely to earn match day dividends a number of times throughout a given season, especially if his position on Football Index is changed to Defender.

Price Analysis

Achraf Hakimi has risen from around £1.20 at the start of the season up to a recent peak price of £2.97. Hakimi's price has risen alongside many quality, young players and longer term there is a strong chance that he will continue to rise in price. The greatest concern for Hakimi's price on Football Index is the question over where he will play next season. Hakimi is on loan from Real Madrid and if he stays at the Bernabeu he may lack regular game time due to competition with Daniel Carvajal or struggle due to being played in a system which does not suit him so much (4-3-3). It is difficult to see Hakimi fitting in at Real Madrid as they have attacking forwards such as Hazard, Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior who suit playing wide of a 4-3-3 formation and Dani Carvajal is a solid right back in this formation too. However, if Real Madrid choose to play a 4-1-4-1 formation as they also played this season, Hakimi could possibly fit in at right midfield. Overall, Hakimi looks a very strong long term hold, but for his price on Footbal Index to grow further he will need to be played regularly in a formation where he has the freedom to drive forward where he hits high PB scores and so this could be a concern depending on what happens next season. Hakimi's price could also rise in the future if his position on Football Index is changed to defender.
